THE GRANDIN NAME CHANGE
The Gardens was known as the Grandin neighbourhood until 2025. It was named in honor of Bishop Grandin, an Oblate bishop who was a founding figure of the community of St. Albert. In recent years his memory has come under fire because of his advocacy for the Residential School Program that did so much harm to our Indigenous neighbours.
