Licensed as a full time agent since 1999, John Carle has well over 1,000 transactions under his belt. But it's not the number of homes that sets him apart as a top agent, but rather the lengths he goes to for his clients. John assumes each client will be a new friend and neighbour. He believes in making a great first impression for a lasting and valuable relationship!

His approach to marketing a home is practical and systematic. He starts with identifying the profiles of the most likely buyers for your home, then tailors advertising that will appeal to those buyers. This is why you never see John on bus benches, shopping carts, or milk cartons. That's not where people go to buy YOUR home.

I get to wake up every morning to do something that I love. I get to be a part of one of the most life changing events in most peoples’ lives. It’s a wonderful feeling! 

In fact, the best part is trying to figure out an effective way to get through a challenging transaction, in some cases a transaction other agents wouldn’t be able to complete. It’s like solving a puzzle or a riddle, and I love the challenge. 

I’ve met a lot of great people doing this, people I wouldn’t have met otherwise. These are people I’m proud to call my friends now. I get to make moving to a new home a positive experience for people I’ve come to care about, which I find fulfilling. 

Believe it or not, because I’m doing something I love, I’ve been able to do pretty well at it. I’m only successful because my clients succeed, and I find that to be fulfilling.

John's Personal Life

I live in St. Albert with my partner Cathy, our 7 combined kids, and 1 knuckle-head dog named Boomer. The kids range in age from 12-22, with 2 sets of twins in there, so we have a busy household to say the least. We're all super busy; we love it.

Our Sunday dinners are precious to us, as it's a time for all of us to slow down and take a moment to refocus, reset, and remember why we do what we do.
I spend a lot of time in my local community. From volunteering with Rotary, to enjoying local cuisine and patios, to the festivals and kids events that I get to enjoy... I love being out and about.

The "dream" is to one day retire to a sailboat and see the world, powered by nothing but the wind and the sun. There's so much to see in this world, and we want to see as much of it as we can.

Relationships with Other Agents Matter

I believe that real success comes when you can share with those around you. Which is why I put a lot of effort into giving back, both into my community and into my industry. 

What. What was that? Giving to my industry? 

Absolutely. I've dedicated long hours to training, supporting, and educating my colleagues and competitors. I've taught courses at the local association, trained & mentored new agents, and volunteered on committees and boards both locally and provincially. I believe that the stronger the other agent, and the stronger my relationship with that agent, the greater the chance that your home sale or purchase will be a success.
